Karzzz is good to see

‘Karzzz’ is a remake of the veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s ‘Karz’ and with Satish Kaushik behind the camera; Himesh does look like a ‘rock star’.

This remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1980s super hit Karz has basically the same storyline as the original with a little twist added to it.

As an individual, Himesh was quite impressive and the movie had the right tint of entertainment.

The story goes like this…

Monty (Himesh Reshammiya) is a rock star, who falls in love with Tina (Shweta Kumar) in South Africa, while she’s on an assignment from her catering college in Kenya.

Further a flash back reveals that Monty was actually Ravi Verma in his previous life, married to a beautiful girl called Kamini. Monty now has the grave realization of having been reborn in his current persona.

His beautiful love interest (Tina) is none other than Kamini’s foster daughter. From here starts Monty’s new journey. A journey of revenge! How he accomplishes it and gives justice to Ravi Verma’s hapless old mother and sister forms the rest of the film.

The re-birth saga begins in Kenya, where Himesh spots the palace that he sees in his dreams and later meets Kamini, who’s now a princess. Monty then comes to terms with his past life.

‘Karzzz’ never veers too far and sticks to the theme. The old saga of reincarnation and vengeance is also brought out full-throttle.

Himesh has done a stupendous job as an actor and Urmila does justice to her role. The movie also stars Danny Denzongapa playing the role of a filmholic uncle, who dispenses advice through dialogues from popular movies.

Looks like the newcomer, Shweta Kumar does really have a future in Bollywood.
